Lombok Local was born from something simple: a friendship between a local Indonesian couple and a Dutch couple, brought together by a shared love for this beautiful island.
What started with conversations, shared experiences and mutual respect slowly grew into an idea that could make a real difference — both for the people visiting Lombok and those who call it home.

How it all began
Turning friendship into purpose.
As we spent more time together, we began noticing the same challenges from two different perspectives.
Travelers arriving in Lombok sometimes struggle to find trustworthy accommodation, arrange reliable transport, understand an unfamiliar place or simply know who to turn to when they need help.
At the same time, local families, property owners and independent service providers have so much to offer, but don't always have the tools, connections or international reach to benefit fully from tourism.
We believed there had to be a better way. And that's where Lombok Local began.

Lombok Local is a partnership between two couples: one from Lombok, one from the Netherlands. It's a friendship first, and a business built on the trust, respect and shared ambition that grew from it.
