Is a scooter right for your Lombok itinerary?
Kuta’s cafés may be easy to reach from certain accommodations, but day trips to beaches and viewpoints often involve longer journeys, hills and changing road conditions. Scooter riding is best left to travellers who already know how to handle a motorbike. Beginners should not treat holiday roads as training grounds. A private driver or suitable car can be a more comfortable choice for groups, families and visitors carrying luggage.
- Plan routes for the least-experienced person in your group.
- Avoid riding in poor visibility or conditions beyond your skill.
